Caesars Rewards, formally known as Total Rewards, is the loyalty program offered by Caesars Entertainment Corporation. The company recently added some new features to this popular loyalty program. Today, we’re going to look at exactly what Caesars Rewards has to offer.
In case you’re unaware, loyalty programs are programs that casinos offer to help retain their user base and attract new players. Generally, these programs award points to loyalty members who spend money inside the casino and sometimes, the casino’s hotel. Just about all major casino companies offer a loyalty rewards program, some of which are known to be better than others.
Now is the perfect time to look at exactly what Caesars’ new rewards program has to offer. We’ll be going over the different tier levels, talking about how players can earn tiers, and explaining what exactly members of this program have access to.
Overview of the Caesars Rewards Program
Caesars’ previous “Total Rewards” program featured five different tiers for members. Like all other loyalty programs, members move up tiers based on how much money they gamble and spend. The new program features just four tiers. There are three main points that are crucial to understanding more about this program.
Tier Credits:
Calculates your Tier Score.
Earned based on how much money is spent.
Tier Score:
Your Tier Score is how many Tier Credits you earn in a calendar year.
These also determine your Tier Status.
Tier Status:
Different tiers that offer rewards to members.
It’s that simple! A specific breakdown of the different tiers can be seen below.
Gold Tier: Tier Score: 0 – 4,999
Platinum: Tier Score: 5,000 – 14,999
Diamond: Tier Score: 15,000 – 149,999
Seven Stars: Tier Score: 150,000 + By Invitation
As you can see, the more money you wager, the higher you will move up the tier ladder. The higher tiers offer better perks than the ones below them. The Seven Stars tier offers some truly incredible rewards for members.
How to Earn Tier Credits, Explained
The way to earn Tier Credits through Caesars Rewards is very similar to most casino loyalty programs. There are some key differences with Caesars’ program that many individuals love. Here is a quick explanation of how to earn Tier Credits as a CR member.
How to Earn Tier Credits With Caesars Rewards
Earning these credits is much easier than you might imagine. As we mentioned earlier, they are accumulated based on how much money you spend. Members of Caesars Rewards earn 1 Tier Credit for every $1 spent on hotel hospitality options. This includes most options inside a Caesars hotel (with the notable exception of Harrah’s Philadelphia).
Members will also earn 1 Tier Credit for every $5 wagered on slot machines, $10 wagered on video poker, bingo, and sports, and $3 wagered on live keno and horse races.
Interestingly, Tier Credits earned wagering on table games is a little different. The credits are given out based on the amount of time you spend playing.
Much like the old program, there are also a few ways to earn Tier Credit bonuses. You can check out the bonus structure below.
Earn This Number of Credits/Day | Earn This Bonus |
500 Tier Credits | +125 Tier Credit Bonus |
1,000 Tier Credits | +1,000 Tier Credit Bonus |
2,500 Tier Credits | +5,000 Tier Credit Bonus (Earns Platinum Status) |
5,000 Tier Credits | +10,000 Tier Credit Bonus (Earns Diamond Status) |
It’s important to note that this bonus structure can vary from property to property. Tier Credit bonuses can take up to four days to enter into your account.
Benefits of Caesars Rewards Tier Status
Many believe that Caesars Rewards has the best overall benefits of any major casino loyalty program. Each of the four tiers offers members something amazing. Of course, the higher the tier, the better the bonuses you will receive.
Here’s a quick breakdown of the different perks available for each tier.
Gold Tier Benefits
Gold Tier is the first and easiest to get into. Many are still surprised at the amazing perks that this basic tier has to offer.
- Free night in Las Vegas or Atlantic City for every 5,000 Tier Credits earned, up to seven nights.
- Room discounts simply for being a Caesars Rewards member.
- Special offers based on your activity.
- Trade Reward Credits for free play inside the casino ($1 for every 200 Reward Credits).
- Exclusive presale access for shows.
Platinum Tier Benefits
Platinum is the second tier available for members of Caesars Rewards. It offers some great new bonuses that Gold Tier members do not have access to.
- Even bigger discounts on hotel rooms and additional comps.
- 15% discount on everything inside casino gift shops.
- Up to 10% discount on Norwegian Cruise vacations.
- Ability to gift up to 5,000 Rewards Credits to a friend (only twice per year).
Diamond Tier Benefits
Diamond members are recognized for their loyalty to Caesars. The perks here are some of the best that you will find from any casino’s loyalty program.
- $100 celebration dinner at any one of Caesars’ restaurants.
- Priority check-in lines at Caesars hotels, restaurants, casino cashiers, and Caesars Rewards Centers.
- No resort fees.
- Paid access to the Laurel Lounge.
- Two free nights at Caesars Resorts Dubai.
- 20% discount inside casino gift shops.
Seven Stars Tier Benefits
Members of the Seven Stars Tier are the major players inside casinos. It takes a lot to get here, yet those that make it are heavily rewarded.
- $500 celebration dinner at any of Caesars’ Restaurants.
- Retreat to any Caesars Rewards destinations with airfare. Up to $1,200 round-trip transportation between the airport and hotel with a $500 restaurant folio.
- Complimentary hotel rooms.
- Two free nights at Caesars Palace Dubai.
- Complimentary stay inside Atlantis, Paradise Island in the Bahamas.
- Congratulatory voyage with Norwegian Cruise Line.
The speed at which you move up this tier bracket all depends on the way you spend. Some are able to advance to the Diamond Tier in a single day. For others, it can take years.
Additional Perks of Being an Elite Seven Stars Member
It’s no surprise that many gamblers work hard to obtain the Seven Stars status. As we mentioned earlier, it takes 150,000 Tier Credits in order to enter the Seven Stars tier. There are also ways to enter the “elite” status of this specific tier.
Earning 500,000 Tier Credits earns you the following:
- Priority booking at Seven Stars signature events.
- An invitation to all three signature events.
- Two-night stay in a premium Las Vegas Suite.
Earning 1,000,000 Tier Credits earns you the following:
- Invitations and priority booking to all Seven Stars signature events.
- Four-night stay in a Las Vegas premium suite.
- Norwegian Cruise Line Suite Cruise with a $300 Spa credit.
Caesars Rewards Tier Credits vs Rewards Credits
It’s easy to get confused about the differences between Tier Credits and Rewards Credits. Fortunately, understanding the differences between these two is simple. Allow us to explain.
Tier Credits are what’s used to determine your Tier Status (Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Seven Stars). Reward Credits are accumulated as you obtain Tier Credits. They can be used for rooms, food, entertainment, and more.
Every Tier Credit that you earn provides you with one Rewards Credit. It’s also possible to earn additional Rewards Credits based on the type of casino game you are playing and how long you are playing it for.
Why Are Rewards Credits Important?
Now, you might be thinking, “why exactly are these Rewards Credits important?” Many simply track their Tier Credits and only work to move up Caesars Rewards tier structure. There are some great perks that Rewards Credits offer members, though.
For one, they can keep your account balance from expiring. As long as you earn one Rewards Credit every six months, your account balance will remain intact. These credits are also portable. You’re able to redeem these rewards inside Caesars properties all around the world.
Rewards Credits are also extremely convenient. Essentially, they’re a currency that you’re able to use at any time that you wish.
Is Caesars Loyalty Program Okay for Low-Rollers?
Absolutely. Caesars Rewards is a fantastic program for individuals across the entire gambling spectrum. You’ll never have to worry about spending a certain amount of money in order to gain great perks. Even the Gold Tier, which everyone enters into, offers members some solid bonuses.
Even playing a few hands of blackjack will stand out. Caesars wants to bring you back to its casinos. It’s not uncommon for even the most casual of gamblers to receive free rooms and discounts on restaurants.
Conclusion
With all things considered, Caesars Rewards is one of the best casino loyalty programs out there. It has a very simple tier structure, the perks for each tier are fantastic, and the number of different properties where members can use their rewards is huge.
If you’re a fan of casino gambling, we highly recommend that you consider joining the Caesars Rewards program. You might find yourself climbing up the ranks in no time!
Caesars Rewards Diamond Status Explained
For the past five or so years I have been an M life loyalist when it comes to Vegas. I typically stay at M life properties as they are partnered with Hyatt. Recently I status matched my IHG Platinum status to Wyndham Diamond, and then Wyndham Diamond to Caesars Rewards Diamond. NOTE: As of February 1, 2019, Total Rewards has been renamed as Caesars Rewards. The same benefit will remain with a few additional benefits being added.
Caesars Rewards, the loyalty program of Caesars properties, has a total of 4 tiers:
- Gold (Entry Level)
- Platinum (5,000+ Tier Credits)
- Diamond (15,000+ Tier Credits)
- Seven Stars (150,000+ Tier Credits)
Learn more about Tier Credits, and how to earn them, here.
Below I cover some of the perks I experienced (and a few I haven’t yet) as a Diamond on my recent stay at Caesars Palace. These benefits are current as of January, 2020.
Be sure to follow @single_flyer on Twitter for Vegas and other travel news and info.
No Resort Fees
I hate resort fees. I avoid hotels that have them. Unfortunately every hotel/casino on the strip charges them. At the nicer hotels the fee is $45+ tax per night. As a Diamond, the resort fee is waived. Essentially Diamond status saves you about $50 a night.
Discount on Spa Day Pass
This is a benefit that I could not find advertised anywhere. Betonline payout problems. When I was staying at Caesars Palace this weekend, I wanted to visit the highly rated Qua Spa. Online the cost of a day pass for a hotel guest is $35. For someone staying at another Caesars property, the price is $60. The price for the general public is $65. Just to use the spa facilities!
However, as a Diamond, I was told the price was only $20 for a day pass. And that price was good even when not staying at a Caesars property.
Other Caesars properties offer free spa access for Diamond elites. Qua at Caesars seems to be the nicest of the lot (hence the $20 fee). The only other property that charges for a day pass is the Linq spa that charges $12.50. Update: As of December 2019, most spas now charge Diamond members a fee if they aren’t staying at the hotel. Planet Hollywood and Paris both charge $20 for a day pass — definitely not worth it as these spas are dated.
Two Free Show Tickets
Each calendar month, Diamond elites get two free tickets to select Caesars shows. These can be used for two tickets to the same show or can be used for one ticket to two different shows. Read more about this benefit here.
My friend and I went and saw Penn & Teller at the Rio. It was pretty painless to get the tickets. You must first stop by the Caesars Rewards desk to get your vouchers printed. Then take them to a ticket box office (Caesars’ “remote box office” is just south of OMNIA and opens at 11am but each property has their own box office — just ask at the Caesars Rewards desk) and exchange them for the tickets. We tried to get our tickets the day of the show but it was sold out, but we got tickets for the following day.
Don’t expect to get tickets to see Celine or Backstreet Boys — these shows are second (or third) tier entertainment.
I have created a post with a list of show available for free. You can also ask for the list of eligible shows at the Caesars Rewards desk.
$100 Celebration Dinner
Each year (February 1 – January 31), Diamond elites get a Celebration Dinner which is a $100 dining credit to various Caesars property restaurants. Again, you can find a list of restaurants at Caesars Rewards desks or here. The $100 credit is added to your Diamond card and essentially used like a debit card; though the $100 must be used all at one time in one location. Read more about this benefit here.
Shorter Lines
Whether you are checking in to the hotel, getting a taxi, or stopping by the buffet; many Caesars locations have Diamond lines reserved for elites. Hotels have Diamond check in lounges with shorter lines and more personalized service.
In addition, most of the buffets have reserved seating for elites. These offer better service and a bit higher luxury (cloth napkins, drink service) depending on the buffet.
There are also Diamond Lounges at each casino, but as of 2018 you had to redeem points to gain access.
“Free” Stay at Atlantis (That Isn’t Free)
Base level Diamond elites are eligible for 4 nights stay at the Atlantis Resort for about $200. Though advertised as complimentary, you are actually charged about $50 per night (in the form of a mandatory resort fee). The food is apparently WAY overpriced and not good (according to DEMflyers). Plus they have captive dolphins which is completely cruel. I likely won’t be visiting Atlantis with this offer.
Other Perks
There are a number of other small perks such as a free parking at any Caesars property and other discounts.
Overall I found that Diamond status at Caesars is much more recognized and overall has better perks than M life Platinum Status. I would like to see M life improve their loyalty program as I do like that you can get Hyatt points and stay credits at M life properties.
